Family History of the House

Yesterday Chip and I were visited by a family that previously lived in our home. It was great hearing all their stories and memories they had with the house. The two sisters of the family were the ones that came by too see the house. I invited them in and that's where I learned so much about the house. Many of the "upgrades" (i.e., extra closets, flooring, pool, and even the cement patio set!) were constructed by their father.

It was so much fun to walk through each room of the house & to hear what home improvements were new, what had been there, and where they had locked up their brother (in the attic, of course!). It was such a great way to spend a Saturday evening. I enjoyed hearing them talk about all the memories they had growing up in this house.

After we talked about what was in the house, we spent a little while talking about all the "upgrades" Chip and I, our family, wanted to contribute to the house. The sisters seemed to like our ideas and thought they would be wonderful. I cannot wait until they come again; hopefully by their next visit, major home improvements will be made (i.e., carport, kitchen, fencing, landscaping, etc.)!

Chip and I have a lot more home renovation in store for us in the next 5 years. I can't wait!
