Photo Tour of the Bungalow

The photo was taken in the summer, when we purchased the house.

It is ALL tan, except for the black shutters on the front windows. I would like to paint the exterior either a sage green or a light-medium shade of blue/gray, keep the white trim, and paint the shutters white. The porch has a woo floor that is painted tan. I would like to put in a cedar floor on the porch & replace the composite railing between the brick columns.

The Crepe Myrtles do block the view of the front of the house, but they are rather large. I am not sure if I want to cut them down and plant a smaller hedge of some sort, or keep them. The landscaping needs to be more cohesive, instead of a mix of different bushes, hedges, and trees. Any suggestions on updating/changing the landscaping would be appreciated!
